New funding model and data collection

You may be aware of recent changes in the Australian Government’s funding models for Catholic and Independent schools.

The National School Resourcing Board recently completed a review of the socio-economic status (SES) score methodology used in the calculation of the Commonwealth’s needs-based funding arrangements for non-government schools.

As a result, the Australian Government has requested that schools send parents and carers its advice on the collection of data.
