This year’s SCSA competition began in Geelong with the Triathlon. This was the first opportunity for Year 7 students to represent Mater Christi College in inter-school competition.
Everyone participated with exceptional energy and commitment.
Junior 5th, Intermediate 4th, Seniors 4th.
We took three teams to the Boroondara Tennis Centre to compete in the SCSA competition. Students competed in the singles and doubles competition with Year 7, Keiley Crook winning the Junior Singles Best Player Award.
Another highlight of the day was a compliment from a teacher of a competing school who said that our girls showed wonderful sportsmanship, manners and attitude. And they do.

We fielded 3 teams at the SCSA Indoor Cricket Competition at Action Indoor Sports, Box Hill. Our students showed incredible teamwork that led to exceptional results.

One highlight of the day was Year 12 student Olivia Ryan receiving Best Player Award in the Senior Grand Final.
Swimming and Diving
On the evening of 15 March, a contingent of 50 students travelled to Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre for the SCSA Swimming and Diving Competition.
With tireless enthusiasm, our students competed strongly throughout the evening and as a result achieved some fantastic results.
Junior Diving 2nd, Intermediate Diving 2nd, Senior Diving 2nd - Overall Diving 2nd
Junior Swimming 1st, Intermediate Swimming 5th, Senior Swimming 4th - Overall Swimming 3rd.
Congratulations to all students who represented the College during Term 1. We now look forward to a busy and equally enjoyable Term 2 in SCSA sports including Indoor Soccer, Badminton, Basketball, Athletics and Hockey.
