VCE Creative Showcase

Five talented students from the Class of 2021 have had their artwork recognised through the Yarra Ranges VCE Creative Showcase this month.

Just 31 students from across the Yarra Ranges were selected to be part of the exhibition, highlighting their perseverance through the challenges of 2021 and COVID-19 and their ability to create incredible artwork across a range of different mediums and subject matter.

A passion for fashion

Cassidy has enjoyed fashion design since she got her first sewing machine when she was four. From a dress made out of chip packets in Year 7 to this fantastic gown inspired by Greek Mythology in Year 12, her creativity and garment design skills are undeniable.

Behind the scenes of garment creation

Months of hard work and dedication have paid off for Year 11 student Cloe, who has designed and created this beautiful dress for Unit 1 Product Design.
Now to find the perfect occasion to wear it.

Our task was to redevelop an existing clothing design, sustainably.

Creative Arts Exhibition and Award Winners

Three pieces of exceptional student artwork have recently been recognised and included as part of the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) Creative Arts Exhibition.

Each year, students from Catholic schools around Victoria are chosen to display their work at the exhibition, that runs in conjunction with Catholic Education Week.

Naturally creative

For the Textile’s Unit - 'On the Runway' I am creating a one-piece overall outfit.

Sustainability is a key aspect that we need to incorporate in our design. I began to research the dying process and soon discovered the impact synthetic dyes are having on the environment.
