Our Principal, Mrs Mary Fitz-Gerald, recently informed the College Board of her plans to retire at the conclusion of 2020 having completed twenty years of leadership at Mater Christi College.
This is a significant milestone for the College community, and we are sure that you, like us, are sad to receive this news, as Mrs Fitz-Gerald has done an outstanding job of leading and guiding our school to its current strong position.
Conveyance Allowance 2020
Students travelling to Mater Christi College may be eligible to claim financial assistance in the form of a conveyance allowance.
In summary, to qualify for the conveyance allowance, a student must reside 4.8km or more by the shortest practicable route from the College.
Secondary School vaccinations in 2020
The Secondary School Vaccine Program offers free vaccines to Year 7 and 10 students. These vaccines provide protection against:
Diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis (whooping cough) – one dose for year 7 students
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) – two doses for year 7 students
Meningococcal A,C,W,Y – one dose for year 10 students
Parents/guardians of Year 7 and 10 students should look out for the vaccine consent card booklet coming home with students.

Dates and processes for VCE Results and Tertiary Offers
VTAC has introduced some important changes in the timing and roll-out process for Results and Tertiary offers for 2019. Students will receive their results a little earlier than in previous years and Tertiary offers will be rolled out in four stages between December and February.
