Outstanding athletic achievements

Three Middle School students, Sienna (Year 9), Chloe (Year 7) and Bree (Year 8) recently competed in the Australian Athletic Championships in Sydney.

This national competition is a combined Junior and Open Aged event and the largest of its kind in Australia and the Oceania-Pacific Region.

It’s a wrap – Term 1 Sports

Term 1 was packed full of sports competitions and carnivals.  It was great to see such high energy levels, determination and participation amongst the students, after missing almost a whole year of competition last year. Below is a summary of the first term's events:

SCSA TRIATHLON

The SCSA Triathlon was held on 23 February, in Geelong.

2020 Sports Awards Presentation

On 29 October, we recognised and awarded Mater Christi students for their efforts and participation in this year’s sporting events.

The Mater Christi Sports Awards Presentation was held via zoom to both staff and students during Pastoral Period.

SCSA Triathlon

On the 25 February, an enthusiastic group of students set out early in the morning to Eastern Beach Geelong, to compete in the SCSA Triathlon.

Upon arrival the girls were ready to put in the last hard yards of their long training sessions that have occurred over the last three weeks.

2019 Sports Awards Night

On 18 October we held our annual Sports Awards Night. The focus of the night was to celebrate and recognise the hard work and sporting achievements of Mater Christi students throughout the year.

Over 300 guests attended the evening to support our students.

Middle School Cross Country 2017

The MCC Middle School’s Cross Country event took place last Friday, June 2. We couldn’t have asked for better weather for the competition as it turned out to be a perfect day with the sun shining.  It was great to see all the girls giving it a go even if they were walking!

The girls enjoyed  lunch at Grant’s Picnic Ground before walking back to school for the awards.
