Year 9 Careers Day

On 23 April the Year 9 students participated in a Careers Day.

We started with an assembly to talk about what was happening for the day, then moved on to completing quizzes and discovering different careers in areas that we have an interest in.

5 things to remember about NAPLAN

It’s almost NAPLAN time and as the community debate re-commences, students and teachers at Mater Christi College are at the ready.

Students nationwide in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 will complete four tests covering reading, writing, language conventions and numeracy between 14 – 16 May.

Middle School Cross Country 2017

The MCC Middle School’s Cross Country event took place last Friday, June 2. We couldn’t have asked for better weather for the competition as it turned out to be a perfect day with the sun shining.  It was great to see all the girls giving it a go even if they were walking!

The girls enjoyed  lunch at Grant’s Picnic Ground before walking back to school for the awards.

DISCOVER: Adventure in the Grampians

Adventure is just one of the five DISCOVER experiences for Year 9 students at Mater Christi College.

The Adventure experience includes a focus on Geography, Outdoor Education and Health and Physical Education. The Adventure project requires the students to investigate, plan, experience and reflect on an outdoor environment and a journey with minimal environmental impact.
