Spotlight on the Class of 2025 - Anna Lindhaus

Anna describes her secondary school journey at Mater Christi as one of change, friendships, and learning from her mistakes.

“I started at Mater Christi in Year  2020. I changed in many ways throughout high school, as I learned to adjust to he transforming world around me, growing into a more confident and authentic version of myself.”

Literature classes hold some of Anna’s fondest memories. She enjoyed the challenge they presented and the high standards expected.

“In Literature, I learnt about topics and texts I loved, with a passionate teacher and tight-knit class.”

Anna’s approach to study was one of quiet achievement. She set clear goals and standards for herself at the beginning of the year, to maintain motivation and consistency in her studies.

“I developed the mindset that ‘any work is better than no work’. Tasks and assignments can seem very daunting and time-consuming before you start them. But even sitting down for 10 minutes to look over content can help prevent the panic which leads to procrastination.”

Anna also believes the strong friendships she developed over her time at Mater Christi contributed to her ultimate VCE achievements.

“The support and assistance I received from every single one of my teachers was undoubtedly invaluable. However, my friends and peers played a huge role too. Without their friendship and kindness, I wouldn’t have found the joy in learning which led to my achievements.”

Anna is studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at Monash University in 2026.
