Pathways

We provide students with the support they need to navigate the various pathways offered during and beyond their secondary school years.

The Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) opens the door to university, higher-level TAFE or VET certificate courses, apprenticeships, traineeships, and the workforce. (New para) The VCE now includes the Vocational Major, meaning students can choose to study a new 2-year vocational and applied learning program within the VCE. (New para) Students can also gain nationally accredited qualifications in vocational education through the VET in Schools Program.

Year 12 students are provided with the opportunity to fast-track their university studies by completing up to two first-year university subjects through the Higher Education Studies Program. This Program is a partnership between the VCAA, several leading Victorian universities and Year 12 school students. Successful completion of this Program enables students to enter second-year university studies in a specified course following Year 12.
